Interreligious Capacity-Building Grants

Grant Opportunity

The 2025 ICJS Interreligious Capacity-Building Grants are now open to alumni of all ICJS Justice Leaders Fellowship cohorts.  These grants of up to $2,200 will benefit nonprofit and community organizations who have a project or initiative that crosses religious barriers for the common good. These grants are intended to expand the capacity of participants to think interreligiously in their organization. 

The project must benefit Greater Baltimore-based organizations and communities. Previous recipients are not eligible to apply again. All applicants must be 501(c)(3) non-profits.

Guidelines

Important dates

  • Application deadline: September 16, 2024
  • Awards announced: September 24, 2024

Award amount

$500 to $2,200 for reimbursable expenses 

Eligible expenses

  • Supplies or materials for program or event
  • Fees for training
  • Workshops or public events
  • Technology costs, e.g. podcasts, videography, software or digital apps
  • Note: salary of staff is not a permitted use

We have been impressed with the positive impact our Justice Leader Fellows have had in their communities, and we see the potential for much more. These grants will act as a catalyst in building an interreligious community that will work for justice and equity.
