Martin Buber: A Life of Faith and Dissent — A conversation with biographer Paul Mendes-Flohr

Paul Mendes-Flohr is one of the world’s foremost scholars of Martin Buber. ICJS Jewish Scholar Benjamin Sax led a conversation with Mendes-Flohr, his friend and mentor, on his seminal biography, Martin Buber: A Life of Faith and Dissent. Mendes-Flohr is editor-in-chief of the 22-volume German critical edition of Buber’s collected works and has published numerous books and articles in German-Jewish intellectual history and modern Jewish thought. He is professor emeritus of the University of Chicago Divinity School and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
