About the Participants
The Rev. Moya Harris
The Rev. Moya Harris is an itinerant elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church and serves on the clergy staff of Metropolitan AME Church in Washington, D.C. She is director of racial justice at Sojourners, a Christian organization dedicated to social justice, peace, and faith-rooted action. Rev. Harris has nearly 20 years of ordained ministry experience and 30 years as a registered nurse. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Towson State University and a master of divinity from Payne Theological Seminary. She is pursuing a doctorate in African American preaching and sacred rhetoric at Christian Theological Seminary.
The Rev. Dr. Alisha Wimbush
The Rev. Dr. Alisha Wimbush is the ICJS program director for religious leaders. She has a B.A. in Social Work from Messiah College and is a graduate of Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA, where she earned both her M.Div. and a Th.D. in Pastoral Care and Counseling. Most recently Alisha served as an Associate Chaplain at a continuing care retirement community in Pennsylvania. She has more than 15 years of experience working and providing leadership in nonprofit and congregational settings. She is passionate about building bridges across diverse communities and finding creative ways to foster relationships.
