Building Delight Muscles: An Interreligious Spiritual Discipline

On Demand Events
October 20, 2021 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Online

For Ross Gay, writing essays daily for The Book of Delights developed his “delight muscle,” a discipline of recognizing and acknowledging joy and wonder in his life. Without ever invoking overtly spiritual language, Gay’s attentiveness to the small beauties, surprises, and quirks around him could arguably be called a spiritual practice. Join ICJS as we consider how Gay’s idea of a “delight muscle” is one of many ways to move through the world with an interreligious lens.
