The purpose of this Emic page is to allow religious communities to speak for themselves. One of the biggest areas of interreligious dispute is actually within each religious tradition. For example, some Christian religious communities would argue that other Christian communities are not “real Christians.” Some Jews argue that other Jews are not “real Jews.” Some Muslims argue that other Muslims are not “real Muslims.” This website is not attempting to navigate or negotiate those internal religious conflicts. At ICJS we want to create a big tent interfaith learning environment where diverse religious communities are welcome.
