David M. Rubenstein | Speaker
David M. Rubenstein is Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of The Carlyle Group, and he is Chairman, CEO and principal owner of the Baltimore Orioles. Mr. Rubenstein is a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom and chairman of many educational and nonprofit boards. He is an original signer of The Giving Pledge and the host of The David Rubenstein Show, Bloomberg Wealth with David Rubenstein, Longevity with David Rubenstein, and Iconic America: Our Symbols and Stories with David Rubenstein. A Baltimore native, he is a 1970 graduate of Duke University and a 1973 graduate of the University of Chicago Law School.
Heather Miller Rubens, Ph.D. | Moderator
Heather Miller Rubens, Ph.D. is the ICJS executive director and Roman Catholic scholar. She is an experienced teacher, public speaker, facilitator, and scholar-practitioner of interreligious learning and dialogue. She develops educational initiatives that foster interreligious learning and conversation for the public in the Baltimore-Washington corridor and online. In her research and writing Heather creatively focuses on the theoretical, theological, ethical, and political implications of affirming religious diversity and building an interreligious society.
