About the Panelists and Moderator

The Rev. Samantha Gonzalez-Block | Panelist

The Rev. Samantha Gonzalez-Block is the Christian Spiritual Leader at the Interfaith Families Project of Greater Washington (IFFP), a community of Jewish-Christian families practicing both traditions. A graduate of Barnard College and Union Theological Seminary, she is passionate about building bridges across faiths and cultures. Her diverse background includes ministry, education, advocacy, and communications work with the UN. Samantha also teaches Latin dance, slam poetry, and storytelling to foster connection. Her writing appears in Journal for Preachers, Uncommon Bonds, and The Porch Magazine. She lives in Rockville, MD, with her spouse, Matt, and their two children.

The Rev. Dr. Alisha Wimbush | Moderator

The Rev. Dr. Alisha Wimbush is the ICJS program director for religious leaders. The Rev. Dr. She has a B.A. in Social Work from Messiah College and is a graduate of Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA, where she earned both her M.Div. and a Th.D. in Pastoral Care and Counseling. Most recently Alisha served as an Associate Chaplain at a continuing care retirement community in Pennsylvania. She has more than 15 years of experience working and providing leadership in nonprofit and congregational settings. She is passionate about building bridges across diverse communities and finding creative ways to foster relationships.

Rabbi Debbie Reichmann | Panelist

Rabbi Debbie Reichmann is the Jewish Spiritual Leader at IFFP. Born in Chile and raised in the DC area, she holds degrees in Law, Public Health, and Liberal Arts from Georgetown and Johns Hopkins. After a decade in health policy, she found her calling in interfaith campus ministry and was ordained as a Jewish Universalist rabbi in 2012. She blends teachings from multiple Jewish traditions to offer a modern, inclusive perspective. Rabbi Debbie has officiated over 100 interfaith weddings and is active in several rabbinic organizations. She enjoys time with family, stone carving, power tools, and all things sci-fi/fantasy.
