Genocide and Holocaust Study Day – April 2019
In honor of our founders, Peggy and Charlie Obrecht, we partnered with the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum Program on Ethics, Religion, and the Holocaust. Religious leaders participated in a special session: "New Testament Exegesis and Preaching Difficult Passages after the Holocaust." We worked in small groups around several of the most troubling and historically anti-Judaic passages from the Christian scriptures, with a particular focus on how the Holocaust should or does affect the ways Christian use and homilize these texts.
