About the Facilitators

Christine Gallagher

Christine Gallagher currently serves as the Head of Program and Program Director for Teachers and Schools at the Institute for Islamic, Christian, and Jewish Studies (ICJS). She leads a yearlong fellowship for public, private, and independent school teachers to explore how religion is present in their curriculum and to gain confidence in talking about religion in the classroom. She presents on this topic to Baltimore-area schools and school districts. In addition, she participates in national conferences and gatherings on religious literacy in K-12 education. She’s the editor of a forthcoming volume from Interreligious Studies Press.

The Rev. Dr. Alisha Wimbush

The Rev. Dr. Alisha Wimbush is the ICJS program director for religious leaders. She has a B.A. in Social Work from Messiah College and is a graduate of Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA, where she earned both her M.Div. and a Th.D. in Pastoral Care and Counseling. Most recently Alisha served as an Associate Chaplain at a continuing care retirement community in Pennsylvania. She has more than 15 years of experience working and providing leadership in nonprofit and congregational settings. She is passionate about building bridges across diverse communities and finding creative ways to foster relationships.

Christine Krieger

Christine Krieger currently serves as the Program Director for Congregation at the Institute for Islamic, Christian, and Jewish Studies (ICJS). She leads a year-long fellowship for Muslim, Christian, and Jewish clergy and lay leaders to increase interreligious literacy, engage in dialogue, and build community in the Greater Baltimore area. In addition, she works directly with congregations on interreligious work and other special topics. Prior to joining ICJS in 2021, Christine spent more than a decade in higher education, most recently directing the first-year experience at Goucher College.
