To dismantle religious bias and bigotry, ICJS builds learning communities where religious difference becomes a powerful force for good.
Clergy and Religious Leaders
Visiting Moroccan scholars toured Islamic sites and joined in dialogue with ICJS staff.
The ICJS works with clergy and religious leaders to create learning communities around texts and congregational life. We offer yearly Scripture Forums where we dig into common and unique texts in our histories. We also create opportunities to share our traditions, learn from each other, and network. Recent topics include: “Valuing Security and Hospitality: Thinking about Congregational Life in the Era of Mass Shootings,” “The Book of Amos: Using Prophetic Texts During Discordant Times,” and "New Testament Exegesis and Preaching Difficult Passages after the Holocaust."
