The 2019 Manekin-Clark Lecture
Religion & Politics in Transition: The End of White Christian America
ICJS hosted Robert P. Jones, author of The End of White Christian America, at its signature Mannekin-Clark Lecture in Baltimore in December 2019.
Using compelling demographic statistics, Mr. Jones illustrated the confluence of religious and political changes in recent decades, showing how the United States is no longer a majority white Christian nation. His lecture sheds light on how these changes affect our interreligious conversations.
Mr. Jones is the founder and CEO of the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI), a nonpartisan, independent research organization based in Washington, D.C. Mr. Jones is a frequent contributor to The Atlantic and other national publications.
